Aharon currently performs with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival — bringing world percussion to one of America's most celebrated stages.
Aharon Wheels Bolsta is a multi-instrumentalist whose musical style spans the continents — from the West Coast of the USA to the plains of India, the hills of Bali, the bazaars of Istanbul and Essaouira, the coasts of Portugal and Brazil, the pubs of Ireland and Spain, and the rivers of West Africa and beyond.
He studied tabla and North Indian classical music for many years under Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri, and has accompanied classes for the legendary Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. He has recorded with more than 30 projects and performed as a member of 20+ ensembles since 1997.
Today, Aharon teaches online students worldwide and offers in-person lessons in the Ashland, Oregon area. He currently performs with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, bringing world rhythms to one of America's premier stages.
